My fiancee graduated highschool in 2004. He started ITT Tech in the fall of that year. He was there less than 6 months and was academically dismissed for poor grades. When he enrolled, he had to pay for the entire year in student loans. He now owes $30k+ in student loans. He is devastated and wants to get back into school. He is currently only making $8/hour and cant afford to make his loan payments so they are currently in default. What options do we have? He’s desperate to get back into school. Thanks!

I owe 9,000 and some odd dollars for a college loan that has defaulted. It started out being $6500 and has increased $3000 with interest and charges. Would the Government reduce the amount if I offered to pay them in full??

i know student loans give you a loan on college tuiton and you dont have to pay back until u graduate, but is it possible to be rejected right before the next year and be forced to drop out. This is especially important because i want to be a doctor and the tuiton can be very expensive.

Has any student received grants to help them pay off school?

How long will it take me to pay off close to 80,000 in debt from my undergraduate?

Do you think when i graduate in two years that i should find a steady job and then get a second job just to pay of loans (would that be faster and benefit me at all?

I am currently inbetween colleges. I do get financial aid but the college i want to go to i will still need an additional 3,000 for me to attend. I DO NOT want to take out a student loan. We are low income family with a 4 year old, 9 month old twins, and i am 15 weeks pregnant with twins again. There is no way I could pay back student loans. Is there any other scholarships i can get at a mom? after this semester i will have 3.0 maybe alittle higher.

I have a Stafford loan and a Perkins loan, I was wondering the best way to consolidate these into one payment. Any ideas?
